When I say, Beauty salon is “A Waste Of Time And Money”, It sounds weird, puzzling and certainly raising your eyebrows.

When we take a look of ancient times, there are thousands of books available in different languages. But, we never see any artificial beauty products being used at that time. Let us go back to 1950th century of Hollywood and Bollywood. We don’t see the use of parlors and artificial products. Even, we don’t see the use of branded products, spa, saloon and parlor.

Let me recall you a few names Marilyn Munro, Madhubala and Ava Gardner. They all are still enthralling and mesmerizing us with their natural beauties.

Why I am saying that “beauty parlors are useless”? Yes, i agree, it gives you an artificial temporary beauty. These days, saloons are opened as mushroom and maximum parlors don’t have the knowledge and skills. Even, they are not a dermatologist who could find out the reasons behind pimples, black spot.They don’t have the knowledge to understand about your skin type. Whether it’s oily, dry or normal. They don’t care about hygiene and sanitation.

 

Then, why we go to the parlor? It is an utter waste of time and money. All beauty therapies easily you can do at your home. Now, let me share with you, how you can do all beauty treatments at home, step by step.

1) Face scrub

Our environment is highly polluted and it affects adversely on our skin. When we talk about the beauty, then face comes first in our Mind which is the most influential part of our personality. We usually use artificial face wash for cleaning, which contains chemicals and in a long term creates problems for us. We should use natural easily available home made scrub, which doesn’t contain chemicals.

a) Take two tsp. oats, two tsp. honey and one tsp. orange peel powder.

Mix it and massage on your face gently for 6 to 10 minutes. Splash the normal water on your face. It opens your closed pores and removes dead cells.

b) Take one tsp sugar and two to three tsp almond oil and scrub lightly from the upwards direction for 10 minutes and wash with water. It removes dust and old skins.

2) Face massage

After scrubbing, you need a face massage.

a) Take 1/4 banana, 1tsp honey and yoghurt. Massage softly in a circular way for 5 minutes; leave it another 5 minutes and after 10 minutes rinse with water.

b) One tsp. cucumber puree, two tsp. orange juice and mix it with 2 tsp. almond oil. Massage from upwards direction for 10 minutes and wash.

It will rejuvenate your skin and make your face flawless and radiant.

3) Pedicure and manicure

In any festive season, we get a long queue in beauty salon. If you try to do it by yourself, not a tough task; just need practice and zeal to learn.

a. If your nails are polished then use nail paint remover to make your nails clean, but don’t use high amounts of remover it makes your nail rough and weak.

b. If your nails are soft, then cut them before you soak. If it is hard, then do the opposite. Now immerse your cuticles in warm water for 10 minutes. After that, massage with almond oil.

c. Now, use a sugar scrub to massage your feet, legs, hands and arms.you can use flat pumice stone to clean your cracked heels.

Now, softly push the cuticles back away from the nails gently and trim the corners. Clean your nails with cotton and after 5 minutes polish your nails in two layers. When your nail paints are dried up, massage all around with almond or coconut oil. Now, you get a soft, clean and well shaped nails, feet, arms and legs.

4) Waxing

Waxing is not easy to do. It demands continuous practice. I firmly believe that only a well-known salon can wax smoothly and without scars.

Before waxing, don’t wash your skin. Just apply talc on the skin and softer wax will make your waxing easier and painless. Now heat your wax to a liquid, and keep it in that same way throughout the process. Use the thinner layer of wax in the direction of hair growth, and use strip immediately extended beyond the waxed area. After that, Zip-off strip in the opposite direction of hair growth. Just do it swiftly and only once. After waxing, don’t use water or any chemicals. Instead, put almond oil all around the wax area and continue it for the next few days.

5) Hair cutting and trimming

When you come out of a dressmaker or salon, you never get satisfied completely. Learning hair cutting is a complete practice. If you want to learn this art, first practice your scissors on an artificial wig. And then, try to apply this on a small kid.

Massage has been used since ancient times for increasing blood circulation; making us relaxed and rejuvenating . It makes our immunity system strong. If you are planning to get yourself the soothing treatment at home, you can use almond oil, coconut oil, Jojoba oil or olive oil. Even you can make a mixture of oils and put camphor in it for better result. Additionally, you can also put rose petals or rosemary petals in it for a good fragrance.

Corn salad is a great source of nutrition for you. Doctors and dieticians also recommend you to include it in your daily diet. Biggest advantage of salad is the absence of calorie and fat in it. Yesterday, I was thinking about making something new. Suddenly, one brilliant corn salad recipe came in my mind. I thought to give it a try.

I am sharing the recipe with you.

Corn Salad Ingredients

  • Tomato
  • Cucumber
  • Sweet corn
  • Red bell pepper
  • Green bell pepper
  • Yellow bell pepper
  • Green chilly
  • Mint leaves
  • Black pepper powder
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt, as per your taste
  • Chat masala

Corn Salad Recipe

1. Boil sweet corn in a bowl of salted water for few minutes. Leave it till it cool down and strain the water with a strainer.

2. Wash all the bell peppers properly; cut in small pieces and throw away the seeds.

3. Take few green chilies, tomatoes and cucumbers; wash them and cut in small pieces.

4. Now, mix all the above ingredients with sweet corn and lettuce leaves in big nice bowl.

5. Sprinkle salt and black pepper powder as per your taste.

6. Pour some drops of lemon juice on top of it.

7. Still not finished, sprinkle some chat masala in the bowl. Don’t overdo it, may spoil the taste.

8. Finally, garnish your wonderful salad with few mint leaves
