NATURAL HOME MADE SKIN CARE TIPS

Your skin is your biggest asset. I can understand how important it is for you to choose a right skin care product. I will be telling you some homemade natural therapies for all types of skins.

Skin care

Knowing your skin type is the first step in starting your skin care. There are basically 4 types of skins:-

1. Normal skin

2. Oily skin

3. Dry skin

4. Sensitive skin

For normal skin:

Normal skin doesn’t need any special treatment. But, if you want protection from sun, pollution and extreme weather conditions and flaunt your spotless, glowing and sexy skin, you have to avoid soaps which contain various types of chemicals. You should always use homemade skin cleanser and moisturizer.

Take ¼ bowl of flour bran; add 1tsp. orange juice, 1tsp. honey and 1tsp. rose water. Mix all these and make a paste. Apply on your face and neck gently. After drying up, clean it with warm water. Use this paste on daily basis for 1 month and see the effects. Be ready for a charming and smooth skin

For dry skin:

Reason for your dry skin is exposure to cold, wind, rain, pollution and low humidity. The harmful sunlight can bring much damage to the skin. The sun can destroy the skin’s natural protection. Dry skins are prone to bloats and allergies.

So, it is must for you to use a sunscreen or moisturizer when you go outside in sunlight. Cosmetics products are very harmful for our skin, so we should always try to avoid it. You can use following homemade remedy for best result.

happykifehacks

Mix coconut oil, honey and orange juice in one bowl. Apply it on your dry and cracked skin; wash with warm water after 10-15 minutes. Again, clean your skin with your palm smoothly and apply the coconut oil or moisturizer thereafter. It repairs your cracked and dry skin and gives you a soft skin.

You should use this therapy in winter season, when skin tends to be drier due to extreme cold.

natural beauty

For sensitive skin-

Having a sensitive skin can be very uncomfortable. Sensitive skins tend to react to anything unusual, like your new perfume, your deodorant or your cloth. This skin type is also prone to allergies when exposed to sunlight. You may see red patched and rashes on your skin.

If you have a sensitive skin, you must avoid bar soaps on your face, which can be drying and irritating. If you have hyper sensitive skin, you should use homemade toner or lotion.

Squeeze a lemon juice into a few tsp. of water and apply on your face with a facecloth. Using this lotion for long term will help your skin in getting normal. The vitamin c in lemon is great for the skin.

  Avoid use of cosmetics_2

Homemade lotions/pastes don’t work like cosmetics, these are natural products. So, you need to use it for a longer duration to see the effects, however, the effect will be everlasting.

I am waiting for your remarks and comments:

TV serials are a waste of time

TV soaps are a very cheap source of entertainment for all of us. However, It impacts very negatively our lives. Let’s see how it affects our lifestyle and our thoughts…..

Amrapalli Gupta - TV Serial - QuboolHai

1. Waste of time — We watch TV serials which consume lots of time. In that time we don’t want to do anything else. We can utilize that precious time in other important works.

I will tell you a simple mathematics; suppose you watch only 2 serials per day; that counts to 365*2 = 730 episodes in one year Assume, one episode lasts for 30 minutes, it will be a whopping 730 hours of your precious time get wasted in serials. These 730 hours can be utilized in other ways, like learning some new hobbies, learning some foreign languages, doing computer classes, teaching your kids and loving your spouse (Kidding, haha)

waste of time

2. Change of temperament — TV soaps are nothing but a bunch of villains and vamps conspiring against each other. Mother plotting against son, son plotting against his wife, mother-in-law making conspiracy against her daughter-in-law. What else! Remember Ramola Sikand, Mandira, Pallavi, Sindoora and kumolika to name  afew. Even Hollywood is not far behind – Pete Callan, Blair Waldorf, Ed Norton etc

Is that comes under healthy entertainment? Evil brains always teach evil things, that is what TV serials are doing. Take the example of “Two and a half men

It is proved from scientific research that what we see and listen continuously affect our subconscious mind. We start following them unintentionally. We identify them kind of a role model. In actuality, there is nothing like role model. It all depends on situation and scenario.

Two and a half men

Soaps affect our thought and temperament. This brings bitterness in the relationships. So, investing thousands of hours in a business and getting only bitterness in your life.

What kind of rational decision is it?

3. Addicted to TV — When unfortunately (say fortunately) we can’t watch our favorite TV soap, we become impatient. If someone calls us while we are watching serial, we don’t even bother to receive the call and gets irritated. We cannot concentrate on any other work; this is called TV addiction, a kind of obsession. I call it “SOAPOHOLISM”. TV serials are not one hour story that you watch and finish in one day. It keeps you glued to the TV for years. And, today’s serial makers are so clever (we should call them serial killer); their episodes end very abruptly and at very unpredicted twist. You always keep on guessing about next plot.

Too much TV

You can make yourself free of this addiction only by applying your will power. Just ignore few episodes and your curiosity to watch that soap will automatically cease.

4. Neglecting other works — Watching soaps means, investing hours of your valuable time in front of TV. That means, you will not be helping your kids in his homework, your will not be reading newspapers, you will not be doing any other social work that might help society.

Why on earth, do people watch these stupid shows, where “Saas and Bahus” are always fighting with each other and making cunning strategy against each other.

Social service

I am not lecturing you about anything, it was just the the fact I stated frankly. I think many of you might be agreed with my view.

If you don’t agree, please share your feeling…

How I celebrated my Diwali

Diwali, the festival of light passes as fast as it comes. This year also, Diwali passed very quickly. Again, that boring 9 to 6 schedule will start and we will be busy in our daily life like a mechanical robot. I am unable to understand, why these festivals come to an end so quickly and why not we celebrate these every day?

Diwali Celebration

This Diwali too, left us with a mixture of good and unpleasant memories. We have been waiting for the festival of light very patiently since last one year. Being a fan of Diwali, I was also waiting for the festival very desperately. Since, I am not staying with my parents; I was dying to meet them on this Diwali. Diwali gives us a chance of a sort of family reunion, when we celebrate together with our near and dear ones with lots of candles, sweets and off course crackers.

Now, The Diwali festival ends; I want to share with you some of my pleasant and not so pleasant memories. This Diwali marked a new beginning for me on several issues, I will explain later.

My Home

I travelled back to my mom’s home 500 km far away from here. I couldn’t stop my tears rolling down my checks, when I see my mom. Anyways, after the nostalgic Bollywood type “Milan”, I was ready for my next move. I reached my home 2 days before Diwali. Going home

Everyone else in my home was busy in cleaning and decoration work. I too provided a helping hand in those activities. Although very tiring, I enjoyed it a lot.

The Beginning

On the day of Dipawali, Mom prepared her signature dish “Gajar ka Halwa” and veg biryani. I can’t explain in words its divine and exquisite taste. Soooo yummy

Gajar Ka Hakwa

After such a long time, we had a lunch without whole family. At the dining table, i was continuously thinking about how money centric our life has become now. We can’t even spare some moments with our family 😦

Diwali Shopping

Anyways, our next plan was to go on for a shopping spree. We bought enough crackers, clothes for all family members and other useful stuffs.

City CentreMall_Mumbai

In the evening, we were up for the traditional “Laxmi Puja” with all the rituals. How can we forget Goddess Laxmi Hmmm? i was draped in a glamorous red Georgette Sari. Other members were also attired in traditional dresses. After Puja and Aarti,, we lit the candles all around our house. It was such an awesome glittering scenery, really mindboggling for me.

Me in Dipawali  Happy Diwali

The Firecrackers

Now, the time for firecrackers. Big shot, Atom bomb, Chocolate bomb, sparklers, rockets and many more. I hate crackers, filled with toxin and poisonous gases. Every year the quantum of air and noise pollution caused by the crackers increases by many fold. Firecrackers release gases such as sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide etc. in the air, which may cause problems like asthma and bronchitis. Despite numerous efforts by govt and NGOs, large number of population is still using firecrackers.

I was just a mute spectator of this light and smoke show, However, kids of our family were really enjoying this moment

 Firecrackers

The accident

One of my friends challenged me and said that I am too weak heart to fire a cracker (say Bomb). At his provocation, i challenged his offer to fire a bomb. Although, I was wearing a Sari which is not deemed suitable for this occasion, i got ready to accept the challenge. I took the bomb in my hand, put it at a distant place and start lighting it. Suddenly, someone played a prank and shouted from behind ”Run Khushbu run, Bomb is going to explode”. Listening this, I started running hastily without thinking anything.

As expected, I bumped into a wall and fell down almost breaking my hand. My head was about to crash into the wall. Ironically, I became a butt of jokes that evening. I learnt a lesson that day-

Never get provoked by someone’s words, always take wise decision, weighing first the pros and cons of the possible outcome.

The Closing

All’s Well That Ends Well. Good saying. My leaves are over now, packing by bags for the journey back to Pune. This Diwali was indeed very memorable, memory of that will be forever etched upon my heart.

.

5 Ways to celebrate this Diwali without crackers

Diwali is the festival of lights and love. It is an important festival of Hindus. The festival morally signifies the victory of light over darkness, Good over bad and hope over gloom. It is the most festive and beautiful times of the year. We celebrate Diwali with lights, candles, diyas and sweets. We should celebrate pollution free and safe Diwali. We can rejoice Diwali without fire crackers.

Happy Diwali

Here are some tips for enjoying Diwali without pollution:-

1. Spend your time with family. Diwali comes once in a year. This is a festival when we get a chance to meet our family members and elders. We are so busy in our daily life that we hardly spare a free time for them. Many of us, work away from our family. Diwali gives us an opportunity to do a family reunion and spend a quality time with them. So, we must not miss this chance and celebrate this festival with our near and dear ones.

Family Diwali

2. Clean your house properly and decorate with lights and candles. Legend is that, Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth visits our house in the night of Diwali to shower us with her blessings and that brings prosperity and success in life. So, cleaning and decoration are keys to Diwali celebration.

3. Cook well and eat well in this day. Diwali is a festival of sweets and deserts. Don’t be a miser at the time of making sweets. Cook whatever you can.
Be it Ladoo or Petha or Rasagulaa or chamcham, whatever you can make, make it. We all, especially kids enjoy sweets very much. Even a small Ladoo can bring a smile to your kid’s face. So, do not ignore it.

Sweets

4. Give gift and get gift. When we are happy, we should spread the happiness to others too. Diwali is a festival of happiness; you have to extend your feelings to others also. You can convey your warm wishes and feeling by giving gifts to others; they will too, reciprocate in return. This will make your Dipawali more joyful as you are sharing your delight with others. I would prefer a poor person from my neighborhood to exchange gift with. That can make his day pleasant.

Diwali Gift

5. Blessings and blessings. Taking blessings from your elders will make your Diwali more pleasant. Touching the feet of grandpa or grandma will make them feel very appreciative. It is also a best way to show them respect and gratitude.

Blessings
There are numerous ways to celebrate a festival, this was our way to celebrate.

At the end:

When a girl refuses your offer or leave a relationship, after spending a long time together. You start showing rash behaviour and turn mad.

“A good human being not only by word rather than behaviour”.

If you get a chance to meet her, behave in a dignified way with a good token of words like a self conscious chef-d’oeuvre.

5 Homemade Banana face masks

As a human being we want an attractive look and want to be a center of attraction. We do every possible thing on earth to make ourselves glamorous.

Banana

We go to parlor and fashion boutique and try to polish ourselves, however going parlor is not always worth the money because beauty parlors give us artificial makeover, with loads of harmful chemicals. Even if we ignore the side effects of unsafe synthetic creams, parlor cannot provide you long lasting shining. It just gives you a temporary cover that fades away very soon.

Pimples

Alternatively, you can boil Neem leaves in water for 5 minutes and mix cold water in it. Taking bath with that water will provide you same hygienic result.

Turmeric and Neem Facial

6. Wash your face with normal water. Make a paste of turmeric powder, equal amount of wheat flour, 2-3 tsp. honey and 4-5 tsp. of milk.  Now, put the paste on your face, neck and other exposed areas for 20 minutes. When it dries up, wash with normal water. It gives you “sun-tanning free” skin.
Many face masks and other beauty products are available in the market which show deceptive taglines and make us into believing that they will give us shinning, flawless and wrinkle free skin but fact is just opposite.

As far as I know- It’s all “Much ado about nothing”

So, always resort to using natural home made products, rather than those harmful chemical filled beauty tubes wrapped around a glamorous package.
Last but not the least; mental stress is the biggest nightmare for your beloved body and skin. Always live in today and plan for the future; never be stressed
